Conclusions reached by this research.
With regard to the fluid dynamics of plasma:

Qualitative analysis is consistent with the expected values, and in particular the high speed of the jet
The effect of narrowing of the jet given by the Lorentz force is obvious, and is responsible for the particular cylindrical shape of the jet
The effect of the movement of the slab on the jet is not evident, and the difference between the speed of the slab and the speed of the jet is two orders of magnitude
Temperatures reached ...

As regards the transmission of heat:
The diffusion of heat on the plate is given, locally confined heat and effect in accordance with expectations (given the time characteristic)

With regard to grid computing:
The possibility of adapting the grid in the code has been shown useful;
Infittire been possible to the grid in areas of interest and thinning in others, thus reducing total number of cells in the calculation;

Future developments
Development carried out a “tool” for the numerical simulation of welding plasma provides additional points of inquiry: Simulations of processes of plasma cutting, as a variation of the welding processes;
Effects on the shape of the soldering bath according to the shape of the jet, Study of the effects on the shape of the edges of cut material in the plasma on the properties of the jet, Plasma surface treatment with injection of particles, Changes in the field of motion according to the scale and the distance between nozzle and work piece, Simulations with other gas mixtures and multi-models.

Coupling of the structural part in the study of heat exchange between the jet and the plate, placing the emphasis on proper evaluation of the coefficients of heat exchange; Deepening of the boundary layer and the protection nell’ugello date all’ugello depending on the rotational component of the gas flow input (swirl); Calculation of the input of heat to the zone; Study of the radiative part in the mechanisms of transmission of heat.
