Shielding gas
Shield gas, so no air can get to the weld metal during welding, the gas is to cover the weld. The main purpose is to prevent the occurrence of welding defects and shielded from moisture and nitrogen.

The shielding gas is commonly used inert gas such as argon or helium (inert gas), gas and active gas mixture of argon and carbon dioxide or carbon dioxide.

  • Gas used as a shield gas alone
  • Argon-helium gas
  • Gas used as an additive to the gas mixture
  • Nitrogen hydrogen oxygen helium carbon dioxide

Gas other than carbon dioxide and argon gas is often used as a gas additive, the amount is small. However, an important component of the component, even small amounts of additives.

Welding using a gas mixture provides better penetration, bead appearance and beautiful, and you can feel the difference of the gas alone. If you want a notch above the welding is recommended that you use to match the profitability if the cost or work for.
